University of Calgary


University of Calgary (UofC) is a Canadian university located in Calgary, Alberta. It was founded in 1966 and has 28 000 students in 2010.



Academic Profile: The University of Calgary has approximately 23,500 full-time students and 4,500 part-time. It includes more than 30 research institutes, 17 faculties and 53 departments, including medical school, law school, the Haskayne School of Business, Schulich School of Engineering, and in 2007, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Programs [edit: The University of Calgary offers 150 graduate programs and awards licenses, masters and doctoral (Ph.D). The University campus has an area of 2.13 square kilometers and hosts a total of 16 faculties, 53 departments and 30 research centers and institutes. The most renowned faculties are the Haskayne School of Business, Schulich School of Engineering, the Medical School (MD), the Law School (LLB) and the veterinarian will open its doors in 2008 schools. The University of Calgary employs a total of 1,917 full-time employees.
